Don Reutemann brings over 25 years of small business ownership and management to his financial planning* practice. He knows, first hand, the concerns of small business owners as well as retirement planning concerns of individuals. He specializes in Qualified Retirement Plans, asset management* and preservation, estate planning strategies as well as retirement distribution and business succession planning.

Don is a graduate of the CFP® Professional Education Program of the College for Financial Planning and earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^TM certification in 2003.  The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvannia awarded him The Retirement Plans Associate (RPA) designation in 2007.

He is a Board member of the Financial Planning Association of Northeastern New York, as well as a member of the Professional Advisory Committee of the Community Foundation for the Capital Region and a member of the Estate Planning Council of Eastern New York.

Community involvement includes current or past Chariman of the Board of the Colonie Youth Center, LaSalle Institute, Northeastern Association of the Blind, Albany Executives Association and the Colonie Chamber of Commerce. Don has been a certified ski instructor for the blind and individuals with other disabilities.

He has been awarded membership in National Life's Presidents Club** five times and is a member of Equity Services, Inc. Circle of Excellence** for 2007 and 2008.  He has recieved numerous awards from business and not-for-profit organizations.

An accomplished speaker, Don has been a program speaker at the Financial Planning Association Annual convention several times.  He conducts seminars on a variety of Financial Planning topics as well as being a frequent toastmaster for numerous business and fundraising events.

Don works with clients in a variety of ways including fee based*, as well as fee and commission arrangements.

 Don is a graduate of the University of Colorado, magna cum laude in psychology.  He resides in Latham, NY with his wife Betsy, and sons, William and Charles.
